We car pool to the trail head, and make last minutes adjustments, in preparation for the exciting four mile hike up to Camp Sturtevant.

Many of us sent part of our gear ahead to be packed in by mule train with the food and fuel. But first, everything had to be weighed.

Not everyone is in perfect shape, so rest stops are generous. The weather is perfect for hiking.
